In the Weekly Republican Address, newly-elected Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts explains that the Democrats running Washington have their priorities all wrong. Sen. Brown says Americans “told me that they want their President and Congress to focus on creating jobs and reviving Americas economy. Instead, for more than a year now, we have seen a bitter, destructive, and endless drive to completely transform Americas health care system.”

“Somehow,” Sen. Brown notes, “the greater the public opposition to the health care bill, the more determined they seem to force it on us anyway. Their attitude shows Washington at its very worst the presumption that they know best, and theyre going to get their way whether the American people like it or not.”

Sen. Brown says, “I havent been here very long, but, I can tell you this much already: Nothing has distracted the attention and energy of the nations capital more than this disastrous detour. And, the surest way to return to the peoples business is to listen to the people themselves: We need to drop this whole scheme of federally controlled health care, start over, and work together on real reforms at the state level that will contain costs and wont leave America trillions of dollars deeper in debt.”

One Response to “Senator Scott Brown on ObamaCare”
  1. PL says:

Ignoring the hidden costs of ObamaCare won’t make the proposed bill pay for itself now or in the future. We need to convince most of the House Representatives from every state to have the courage to vote NO again and again to each re-embodiment of the ObamaCare bill(s) lest they seal their own public service record by plunging America even deeper into debts and taxes just to give entitlements to the people even when the country can’t afford them and condemning the next generations to foot that bill.

Sen. Scott Brown stated the points on this simply, clearly and courteously in a video. Pls. read Wall Street Journal’s 1 page article “Cost Control Illusion” to learn more about some of the concealed cost Sen. Scott Brown spoke of – http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703701004575113531057819548.html. Rep. Paul Ryan also made some excellent presentations of those facts during the Blair House Health summit and press interviews.

Many of us were a vital part of the historic MA Miracle last January 19, 2010. Today and until the trillion plus dollar runaway ObamaCare gravy laden train/bill(s) are finally stopped in the House and Senate tracks, we, the people, have another shot at rewriting the history of this great country, provided we stand united.
To make this shot be heard as far and as loudly as we can, those of us who have posted the Massachusetts Miracle in blog, facebook, youtube and other networking sites can simply add/share/tag Sen. Scott Brown’s statement http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szQR9MrN3LY&feature=player_embedded to the MA Miracle video to help spread the word, multiply its volume, and prolong its echo.

The message of the MA Miracle video is as true as ever – only this time it is no longer just the pundits we face – it is President Obama, Leader Reid, Speaker Pelosi and their followers who have declared that they will stop at nothing to achieve the takeover of our healthcare.

Let us muster everything within us – be it our faith, resources, contacts, or community – to fire off another Massachusetts Miracle for our country with Sen. Scott Brown’s statement – one that will start over and result in TRUE health care reform for the people, of the people, by the people forged together in the open with bipartisan support without the entitlements, backroom deals for Senators Bryd, Baucus, Nelson, Leahy, Landrieu, Nelson, et al, the concessions to the pharmaceutical industry, special interest groups and hidden costs using parliamentary maneuvers in the House and/or Senate.

Please contact your district representative and let them know you voted them to say NO to ObamaCare politely. Please contact those who have voted NO to the House bill and encourage them to stay the course.

We need all hands on deck in the pivotal stretch of this battle.

Health care reform is the right thing to do, but going into debt to make ObamaCare a law is WRONG!

America deserves and can do better!
