Ryan Decimates Dems on Making Mockery of Health ‘Reform’

Paul Ryan (R, Wisconsin) offers his opening comments in the Reconciliation Markup House Budget Committee on March 15, 2010. He exposes the mockery that the Democrats are making of our legislative process in order to ram a government takeover of health care through Congress.

Since the president must take an oath to uphold the Constitution – and Mr. Obama is pushing to circumvent Constitutionally mandated procedures – does this not give an inroad to accuse him of being breaking his oath?
Do Not Vote yes for this health bill, If you do ever one of the 35 ownwer opperateor I know in the trucking bueiness will end up out of business. I will be out of a job and so will all of the others I work with. Small business in this contry can not afford to pay out on this one, for the most part we pay cash for medical services and it works well. Most of the students I know pay cash as well. It is not that bad to pay as you go, my last visit was $52.00 if that makes it or breaks it for most them they should get insuance.
Please stop trying to care of everyone and everything with this phony and inept Health Care Plan, Start listening to Americans and Remember NO means NO, not maybe or yes but NO. Fix what we currently have and stop the fraud and actually verify who is getting what, when and where and I bet you will find more money that has been stolen and wasted that now can be used for the American People. By all means DO NOT allow amenesty to all ILLEGAL Aliens or you will tax the health care system even more and no one can afford to pay for this. Keep the IRS out of my Health Care Business.
This bill isn’t sitting well with too many people. A bill of this magnitute should not be rushed into as Obama and Pelosi are trying to do no matter whatever means they use to accomplish their goal. This health care bill needs to be scrapped and start over. The fact that abortion is included in this bill makes me ill. The country can’t afford this bill. It hurts the regular hard working middle class Americans and businesses. We will never be able to recover from the trillions we owe now let alone taking on this monster debt. And, I saw the figures Pelosi was saying how far ahead the country would be by taking on the bill and, personally, I don’t trust wherever she got those numbers from because she is dead wrong. SCRAP THE BILL!!

My fellow citizens, you that are for this pile of garbage that this administration and the Democrats are calling health care reform is nothing bit a way for the Government to get greater control over the lives of every citizen of this nation. For those of you that are being blinded by the few aspects of this bill that are things that should be included in what the Government should mandate on the practices of the insurance industry but you won’t open your eyes to the hundreds of other things in their bill that will be forced upon each and everyone of us citizens. I implore you to ask yourselves why is it that it has taken this long to even come to a vote on this bill if it’s so good for this nation and another thing ask yourselves why are these politians and their families exempt from this very bill? Why should they not be apart of it just like you and I if it’s so good for all of the rest of us? They talk that somehow this bill is going to pay for it’s self is the biggest joke being put on the public and anyone of you that are so gulibule to believe that it could even be possible need proffesional help!!!. You folks that think that this is good for our nation had better rethink your position by Sunday and contact you Representative and tell them to vote NO on this absolutely horrible bill.

I am retired and my former employer has informed me that my medical care will be harmed if the Obama plan is passed. I recently flew back to Minnesota to have cervical spine surgery and my doctor said their cliinic would no longer accept Medicare if the Obama plan is passed. We winter in AZ. and a branch of the Mayo clinic in Phoenix already does not accept Medicare. This Obama plan is going to severly damage the seniors ability to get health care. I beg the representatives in the House to vote NO.
We live in a democracy not a dictatorship.I am upset enough about this bill but to have them forcing it through and sidetacking the constitution against the will of the people who have spoken up is APPALLING.Our representatives are not representing us and are going to tax us .I fear for our country if this goes through as the majority are against this and it doesnt seem to matter and people have been actively voicing the outrage to a deaf government bent on their own agenda,it isnt like people who closed their eyes or kept silent and didn’t speak up and it crept in.This is blatant in front of our faces
I have written, I have emailed and I have called. I have written letters to the editor. The sad fact is these people could care less. The Representatives that are up for re-election this fall have been promised money, or influence of some kind or fat cat lobbying jobs to make up for losing their jobs this fall– and most of them will. The fact is, as I see it anyway, this health care reform is just the banner they chose for this ruse. It polled well and it should have. The real deal is power at ANY cost and retain power at any cost. And ANY means ANY. This is a fundamental change in our society they are executing. This is government by the government and for the government — the people be damned. We ‘commoners’ have no idea what’s good for us. Only the ‘enlightened’ know the way to a perfect world.
I hope I am totally wrong but if you that are under the impression the public is going to set this right this fall then I don’t think you having been watching, listening, or writing to your representatives very long. They aren’t listening, they aren’t going to, and I am suspecting they are not going to give up the power they they now ‘own’. Think crisis. Either this fall or sometime in 2012 we are going to have a crisis — a made up crisis– but a crisis none the less. Do you think a man that would bend and distort the constitution like President Obama has any intention of leaving office?

If the ideas couched in this bill were so wonderful… why in God’s name are so many tricks having to be played to get it through. Also… why is part of the bill about education… specifically the Govt wants to TAKE OVER all student loans… thus giving them effective control over both students (who must humbly plead to some bureaucrat for a loan) and universities who will of course have to meet whatever ridiculous educational “standards” of PC BS they deem appropriate. Say no to any more attempt to turn a great nation into a frigg’in nanny state where all whiners get taken care of and learn to DEPEND on momma state to wipe their noses.

That in and of it’s self makes my question the very core and motives. If it is passed, then what?, has anyone thought it through at all? Once it is owned by Uncle Sam, where will it all stop? Think about it if they can make you wear a seat-belt; then they can approve or deny the assistance of which you will need. What’s to say that if you are over weight?, are they then going to deny you food until you return to a healthy weight?!? The math does not add up for this Health Care crap. Obama is trying to write his own Constitution over this. We have the second amendment to protect us, but we the people have another power & with it we don’t have to spill a drop of blood, & that power is the vote. Vote No on the Health Care Refrom Bill.
I will not vote for any candidate that votes yes on the Health Care Reform Bill in any future election.
This is not about health care but about the government take-over and control of 1/6th of our economy and a take-over of student loans and whatever else is hidden in this monstrosity of 2700 pages. Yes, we will be paying for abortions which I find reprehensible. Our Nation needs to put on the sack cloth and ashes and repent and go back to the days when abortion was not legal before it is, too, late.
