Code Red
The situation in Washington DC is CODE RED. If we don’t act immediately, liberals leaders will forever change the relationship between “we the people” and our federal government.
Nancy Pelosi is getting close securing the votes she needs to ram ObamaCare down the collective throats of the American people (see Sean Hannity’s latest vote tally). A vote is expected any day. WE MUST ACT NOW to convince vulnerable Democrats to vote “NO” on ObamaCare or it will be the end of their political careers.
TAKE ACTION
- Call your Representative and tell him or her to vote “NO” on ObamaCare or you will do everything in your power to defeat them this November. Switchboard options are 877-762-8762 or 202-224-3121 or 202-225-3121.
- Sign the Declaration of Health Care Independence which will send an email to all of Congressional representatives.
- THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP YOU CAN TAKE. Visit your Representatives local district office. Bring a hand-written letter to addressed to your Representative. Tell the staff you want to convey your message in-person that you want your Representative to vote “NO” on ObamaCare. Bring a sign with you that reads “Honk Against the Health Care Takeover” and stand outside your Representative’s office for at least 2 hours.
- Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper to help educate others in your community as to the dangers of socialized medicine.
- Make a contribution at ReverseTheVote.org to pressure vulnerable House Democrats to reverse their vote on the health care bill.
Talking Points on Health Care ‘Reform’ Bill
- I don’t want the government dictating the types of health care that will be available to me and my family.
- Congress should be required to enroll in the health care plan they are imposing upon American citizens.
- This bill will actually INCREASE, not decrease, the cost of healthcare in America.
- It’s ridiculous to take over the entire health care system to provide insurance to less than 15% of the population who are uninsured. Wouldn’t it be less expensive and simpler to just subsidize private policies for the poor?
- Health care laws need reform, but the big government plan is the opposite of what’s needed. We need more market-based competition, like health savings accounts and transparent, competitive pricing.
- Consumers should be in the driver seat, directing their own health care dollars.
- The farther removed the patient is from the actual price of service, the worse the economics of health care in America will get.
- These kinds of schemes are bankrupting other nations and crippling their health care systems in the process. Why would we want to import that kind of failure?
- Social Security is broke. Medicare is broke and both are setting the US government on a course of economic ruin. I don’t think a government with this kind of track record should be taking over what is now the most advanced health care system in the world.
- I’m very suspicious of the huge rush to enact these health care reforms. Something this important that will affect every American should be the topic of vigorous and robust national debate with full transparency.
- Polls have consistently demonstrated that the overwhelming majority of Americans do not want this kind of health care ‘reform.’ If this is rammed through, our representative democracy will have utterly failed and instead of representatives we will have rulers. It will be a dark day for the United States.
- I urge you to support common sense health care reforms ideas like tort reform, elimination of government mandates and allowing the purchasing of insurance across state lines.
- I expect you to vote AGAINST the health care ‘reform’ bill.
- If you vote to take away my freedom to decide my own health care, I will do everything in my power to ensure you are defeated in the next election.

Hello: As Combat Medic in Viet Nam I saw young men fight and die for our God given rights. The progressives want to take all of our God given rights and controll us. I will fight to the death for Capatilism and my God given rights
Vote NO on this horrible bill. We can do so much better.
Gene,
Thank you for your insightful response to my posts. I do understand where you are coming from, having worked in the system as long as you have. I do not believe that government run programs are the answer to all our country’s ills, not by a long shot. What I feel so strongly about is that fact that so many Americans are willing to let a huge opportunity to clean up the current “health care” system, which is so far out of whack that it allows people to go on suffering because they were diagnosed after their insurance kicked in, slip away. No, it’s not a perfect solution, but what program/system is? What is possible, is to change the current system that is so incredibly unfair and biased toward the affluent and those that aren’t in need,
I wish that the conservatives in the senate hadn’t been so obstinate in their defiance against any bill that was presented. It seems to me that Obama bent over backward to try to work with them and was rebuffed at every turn. How can we ever make progress when one side refuses to listen to the other. I find this whole process exceptionally disheartening.
Jodi,
We’re not asking for a perfect solution, just one that doesn’t ask those of us who are against abortion, to pay for those who want abortions. Today will be a dark day in America’s history if the proposed bill passes. Nancy Pelosi has publicly lied about the bill not funding abortion and she should apologize and tell the truth. Abortion is not health care.
Is the only way to get our represenatives to understand that this proposed health care bill not going to improve or make heath care available or more affordable for “We the People” is to just STOP paying our taxes! If money is the main driving force that is needed to implement this government health care takeover, then try it without the resource that is supplied by the us… the citizens. Unless you are happy about the government telling you and your family what kind of medical treatment you can have if you become ill or have a an accident. Also think about other goverment run agencies (like the Postal service) and consider their less than average service, and their premium cost to send mail.
Sarah Palin said in her speach at the Tea Party that “We” taxpayers need to start a revolution to keep our country the
Demoracy it is ment to be. We all need to vote this November and get this train back on the right track. Incidently, our taxes also pay the saleries of our represenatives and congressmen. Let them sign up for this heath care nonsense… and let them go without a paycheck and see how they like it. I am dead serious about this
NO! NO! NO! We the people must have the last word on health care reform.
Vote No. How many people have to tell you they don’t want this thing. Its bad for the people and bad for the country. How can you vote yes when we the people tell you vote no?
World war’s 1 & 2 hapened to prevent life under A dictatership. Is that what you want now?
To alow A dictatership take over of our free country could come back on this government group
with terible consiquenses.
VOTE NO!!! We the people have spoken. Please do not ignore us!
VOTE NO! Government is destroying this country fast enough without help from us. Kill this bill and then work on getting this fake president out of office. Make him show the American public his birth certificate.
My vote is NO! Please do not ignore us. I’ll just continue praying for a positive outcome. Thanks.
VOTE NO, NO, NO. — PLEASE, PLEASE.
Vote no, there is a better way. We do not need more government…..
Vote NO on this healthcare bill, remember November is coming sooner than you think, and its time to clean House
I have a wonderful idea. If this monstrosity passes, and we are required to buy gov. sponsored health care, which trust me, will happen, because this is not about better health care, it is about gov. control, tax increases, budget balancing, and most of all amnesty (which will be be next big issue): how about when we are jailed for not purchasing it, they stick us in Gitmo??? I have always wanted an ocean view… Since the government would then have control over 48% of our economy, they can pay for that view! Gitmo isn’t good enough for the terrorists, but it’s good enough for me.
Anybody thats votes for this should never hold office again….this is dangerous
This bill is being rammed down our throats. The Dems have used every trick in the book and promised deals to those congressmen who were holding out. The administration doesn’t care about better health care. They want more control over our lives and more of our money.
If we suddenly insure 30 million more people, and have no extra doctors, how will that work? If an insurance company has to extend coverage to someone with a pre existing condition, the premiums must go up or claims would drive the company out of business. What is the difference in that and in waiting to have an accident to buy car insurance?
May God help us.
Please lets start all over again and take this health care bill piece by piece and do it RIGHT. Charles
Put Americans back to work! Not more out of work! Sell insurance across state lines.
Why are the people in the White House OBama and the rest trying to take everything away from us all. I am 72 and stll work a couple days a week in order to take care of the things I need. We do not need this worry
YES, I VOTE NO HOW CAN DEM. HAVE CLOSED MEETINGS AND DO SOME STATES FAVORS. ALL POLTICS. WERE SICK OF IT. JOHN. W. FOSTER
How are the unemployed going to pay for health insurance. FIRST, Let’s get American back to work, sECOND, stop illegal imigration and take measures to make sure they don’t get a free ride, and THIRD, have a bi-partisan committee come up with health reform “recommendations”.
I believe in my heart that the members voting in favor of HR3590 are willingly as well as unwillingly committing acts of treason!

To My Fellow Citizens, the Republicans:
Thanks to last night’s vote, that child of yours who has had asthma since birth will now be covered after suffering for her first nine years as an American child with a pre-existing condition.
Thanks to last night’s vote, that 23-year-old of yours who will be hit one day by a drunk driver and spend six months recovering in the hospital will now not go bankrupt because you will be able to keep him on your insurance policy.
Thanks to last night’s vote, after your cancer returns for the third time — racking up another $200,000 in costs to keep you alive — your insurance company will have to commit a criminal act if they even think of dropping you from their rolls.
Yes, my Republican friends, even though you have opposed this health care bill, we’ve made sure it is going to cover you, too, in your time of need. I know you’re upset right now. I know you probably think that if you did get wiped out by an illness, or thrown out of your home because of a medical bankruptcy, that you would somehow pull yourself up by your bootstraps and survive. I know that’s a comforting story to tell yourself, and if John Wayne were still alive I’m sure he could make that into a movie for you.
But the reality is that these health insurance companies have only one mission: To take as much money from you as they can — and then work like demons to deny you whatever coverage and help they can should you get sick.
So, when you find yourself suddenly broadsided by a life-threatening illness someday, perhaps you’ll thank those pinko-socialist, Canadian-loving Democrats and independents for what they did Sunday evening.
If it’s any consolation, the thieves who run the health insurance companies will still get to deny coverage to adults with pre-existing conditions for the next four years. They’ll also get to cap an individual’s annual health care reimbursements for the next four years. And if they break the pre-existing ban that was passed last night, they’ll only be fined $100 a day! And, the best part? The law will require all citizens who aren’t poor or old to write a check to a private insurance company. It’s truly a banner day for these corporations.
So don’t feel too bad. We’re a long way from universal health care. Over 15 million Americans will still be uncovered — and that means about 15,000 will still lose their lives each year because they won’t be able to afford to see a doctor or get an operation. But another 30,000 will live. I hope that’s ok with you.
If you don’t mind, we’re now going to get busy trying to improve upon this bill so that all Americans are covered and so the grubby health insurance companies will be put out of business — because when it comes to helping the sick, no one should ever be allowed to ask the question, “How much money can we save by making this poor bastard suffer?”
Please, my Republican friends, if you can, take a quiet moment away from your AM radio and cable news network this morning and be happy for your country. We’re doing better. And we’re doing it for you, too.
Yours,
Michael Moore

P.S. I’ll have more to say on this tonight, live on CNN, at 9pm ET. I’ll be talking with Larry King about the health care bill and where we go from here, considering we still don’t have universal health care.
THANKS MICHAEL TELL IT LIKE IT IS,AMERICA IS A BETTER PLACE THANKS DEMS
Interesting blogs here–whenever I see a blog starting off with the word “idiot”, the comment immediately confirms that the writer is indeed an uninformed idiot. Name calling usually reflects oneself.
You people are the voice of America, you are NOT idiots and you do need to be heard. Less government, ie, means you are represented less–remember WE ARE the government of the people, by the people and for the people we need laws and means of support to protect us from poison in our food and air and the decimation of our educational system. Big, and I mean really big, businesses want us to believe that with less government control that life would be beautiful and well it is for big businesses that is. But remember big businesses really don’t care about us working “stiffs” (my joints ache daily from a life time of hard work), they use us then cast us aside the minute we turn 50 or become ill and cause the health insurance to go up–because, of course, the health insurance companies dictate the rules.
Keep thinking and think very deeply just what and how your life has changed over that last 35 years, because it all started with Nixon (actually the Vietnam “conflict” was the real start of it), when serious changes took place and the affects where really apparent by the end of the 80’s, a really big decline the beginning of the 90’s–then Clinton put a band aid on it but–well you know the rest. No, the recession/depression did not start when Obama took office–that is false.
Actually Michael Moore is an independent and will criticize democrats as well.
It is with great pleasure that I write to your kookie website to rub it in that you are a bunch of Losers! We got the bill thru in spite of your absenting yourself from history. Go down as a bunch of sorehead white guys trying to keep ahold of what you think is yours.
Thirty million Americans will now have healthcare which begins to put us in line with 18 other industrial economies healthcare measures.
This is a little bigger than paying for abortion!
Thank you JD and Jodi for your sound comments.
This is about the fact that so many Americans are willing to let a huge opportunity to clean up the current “health care” system, which is so far out of whack that it allows people to go on suffering because they were diagnosed after their insurance kicked in, slip away. No, it’s not a perfect solution, but what program/system is? You are NOT being forced to use gov. health care. If you already have health care that is working for you and your family, then you can continue doing so.
This is a step towards changin our current health care that is a complete mess!
Why we can figure out what is best for the entire country instead of Rep vs Dem. is really beyond me? REALLY?
NICELY SAID DSWEENEY AMERICA WILL BE BETTER NOW, EVEN THE MIDDLE CLASS,
This is a smeer campaighn on the president that 60 percent of Citizens voted in to office.
for 70 years this issue has been tabled due to industry and interests of the insurance type.
American of the regular and commono sort, not the rich, previleged and other wise
immune need this to happen like most other progressive and successful nations in on the planet. To deny it only brings the transparent motives of the right. Money and generating it.
Did you call your president a lier when he sold you the wars we can not afford. We are doing somehting ofr our nation for once and spending any monied should be there firsat. Not over seas for the interestsd of the oil buddies. How convenient fo rthe bushs and thier buddies on the right. Now we are protecting the insurance donors for the ruight
We said not thanks that is waht the amewrican people wanted

YEAH ITS ABOUT TIME WE SPEND MONEY ON AMERICA INSTAEAD OF IRAQ AND AFGANISTAN! HAIL TO THE HEALTHCARE BILL!
Absolutely NOT!! Why should we pay for the thousands of illegal aliens to have good medical care when there are multitudes of hard working americans that can’t afford it!! NO NO NO!!
Wendell Ellis,
This is where the problem began, people so worried about COLOR, color has nothing to do with any of this. But people like you are worried about “soreheaded white guys” what does that even mean.I am not a white guy! I am a white women and I find your comments ridiculos.
You really think this administration is being honest with us? Who will pay for this new bill? Oh yes the people Obama said wouldn’t be taxed, the people making 250 thousand dollars or less, yes we will be paying and paying dearly while the illegals and people that have not worked a day in their life can sit back and reap all of the benefits!
Way to go DEMOCRATS! I hope this is what you really expected….I hope it is not as bad as I think it will be, cause I have worked my entire life and struggled to pay my bills, my husband and I raised 6 children and never once filed bankrupcy. Our house is upside down but we are still struggling through it.I am very afraid of the expense this bill along with everything else that has been passed since Obama took office.I just want to stay afloat….
HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT ILLEGALS WILL GET COVERAGE, THE PROGRAM IS NOT EVEN GOING YET! GIVE ME A BREAK, HAVE SOME PATIENCE
Karen Sattem, who posted above, just defaulted and screwed many people who invested in her and believed she had the morals to take care of her obligations. What’s it going to be Karen? Are you going to pay or do we continue?
