While I think your points may have some substance, the fact is even if you may speak eloquently: you still look like a nancy, skirt wearing, toolbox. I hope your wife buys into the well thought out words that fall from your mouth… because if she doesn’t buy what your selling I don’t know who will. As far as I’m concerned you are just another uber right-wing conservative, blinded by your stubborn hate of progress. I’m willing to bet you’ve never had to “work hard” for a living, you’ve never had to live paycheck to paycheck. I bet you’ve always been covered by mommy and daddies health insurance.
You slam Obama, and then talk of “The Federalist Papers” and sate we “are not a majority rule system”??????
What fantasy land do you live in? ANY republican will agree that majority rules. That’s how it’s always been. Get off your high horse (and the bandwagon) of hating Obama. Even when Bush was lying and deceiving the US public we still believed in the democratic system. We stood behind the him because he was our elected president. Please have a little patriotism. and if you can do better please run next election, oh wait the best thing republicans had to offer was a senior citizen and an anchorwoman…

Sorry but this is reconciliation. To reconcile. This is exactly what is intended to bring together differences in the house and senate bills. This is nothing new and is not some big secret plan to push through a bill. Minor changes will be made perhaps to the bills but the overall intent of the bills would remain intact. Both bills have already passed the house and senate and if the house were to sign the senate bill it would become the law of the land. Everyone will know what is going to happen and when so I see no big plot here. Leaders of congress always discuss out of public view issues and as long as they bring them to the public view before proceeding then there is no plot. Majority rule rules in this country and if these bills become law this way then its fine with me.

I have a close friend who was a high-level official in Evan Bayh’s administration when he was governor of Indiana. He has always referred to Bayh as “conservative” – and I always tacked on the addendum “for a Democrat.” I sent him an email wondering if Bayh is having difficulty reconciling his essentially centrist view with the pressure to align with his party leadership’s leftist views. I think there are a lot of Democrats that may be in that situation. The party’s leadership seems to have been taken over by socialists who have no room for differing views.

A scare is the right term. Bill Clinton is the first ex-President in a long time who has really understood and taken on the role of “elder statesman”. His energy to serve the American people should be a model for everyone who has put behind them the pleasure and pressure of sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office. Not to be a downer, but what a contrast with Jimmy Carter who from the day he slunk out of the White House has been as bitterly partisan as a small town mayor in the election fight of his life. Definitely get well soon President Clinton.

Why is every one questioning this? Our new Government, the Powere Elite will take care of you, they will take care of everything, whether you want them to or not. God help us all. Even the fools that brought this to power. But really, this has been going on for 100 years, we’re just on the fast track now. God bless our founding fathers and the tea party movement. I really have to wonder if the people supporting, or even questioning the “Health Care Reform Bill” have bothered to do any research on the matter.

When government starts controlling and capping doctor’s salaries, who will go through 9 years of school to make $80,000 or so a year? Won’t this eventually create a shortage of doctors, as it has in the UK and Canada?

Do people that have significat health issues really want to wait 4 months for an MRI, just to be told they do not meet the criteria for treatment, as they do in many socialistic/commumistic countries (as well as written into this plan)?

When their mother or father falls ill and are no longer able to care for themselves, do they want them put in an institution for the mentally unstable? Possibly for as long as for 3 years, until a bed opens up in a nursing home trained to deal with their needs, as my friend’s father has had to endure in the UK?

Have they bothered to check the financial status of the United States Post Office? Social Security? GM (who now needs ANOTHER bail out)? Myself, I’m really not comfortable putting my personal health care in the hands of the same people
who can’t manage the systems already in place.

Speaking as a person who also has many health issues (13 surgeries and several on going conditions over the past 15 years) and is continually, financially strapped due to medical bills. I KNOW that I need my private health care insurance if I have any hope of ever living a normal life.

DO THE RESEARCH, stand together and don’t let this pass!!
