Here are a number of resources to help inform you on what is happening and the issues surrounding the proposed health care ‘reform’ legislation.
LEGISLATION
- HR3692: This is the bill that was passed in the US House of Representatives on October 31, 2009 by a vote of 220-215.
- S3590: This is the Senate version of the bill that is current being debated.
LOBBYING RESOURCES
- Questions for Lawmakers: here’s a list of questions that you may wish to ask of your representatives in Congress.
- ObamaCare Flyer: This one-page flyer highlights some of the problems with the proposed legislation as well as what real health care reform should include. Print this out and distribute it at townhall meetings or in your neighborhood.

Gee, I thought we agreed that the current system was broken.
Our current healthcare system is expensive, but it is not broken. The Mayo Clinic kept my father alive despite stage 4 cancer for 11 fulfilling, productive and relatively pain-free years. And yes, he paid every bill.
You can’t buy that type of care in any other country, but many people in this country get it for free…which is why the rest of us must pay so much.
